H205 Aircraft - The Glasflügel 205 Club Libelle is a single-seat, high-wing, T-tail glider designed and manufactured in West Germany by Glasflügel for club and rtal use.
The Glasflügel H-201 Standard Libelle proved extremely popular, but was not an optimal aircraft for club and rtal use, due to its low, mid-tail area, which could be damaged on off-airfield landings. Also, its small cockpit only suits a certain demographic of hover pilots. The company developed the 205 with the design goals of a simple and robust aircraft that would withstand use by fixed and club operators. The resulting aircraft has an upper wing and T-tail that provide greater clearance over obstacles, as well as a larger cabin. To eliminate gear landings, the single wheel landing gear is non-retractable,

Although there is at least one Club Libelle (D-2468 - v.nr. 114) that is equipped with retractable landing gear.
The Plane That Crashed Was Not A Boeing 737 Max
The plane is made of fiberglass. It has a new wing that uses a double-cone plan and includes combined spoilers and flaps that occupy two-thirds of the wing's trailing edge. The 15.0 m (49.2 ft) wingspan wing uses the Wortmann FX 66-17A II 182 airfoil, the same as the Standard Libelle and Glasflügel 206 Hornet.
Club Libelle has been type certified in Germany and the United States. US certification was granted on September 8, 1975, and includes aerobatics approval for corkscrews, loops, hammer spins, and lazy eights. Due to its fiberglass construction, the aircraft's certification includes a restriction: "All exterior parts of the glider exposed to sunlight must be painted white. Registration and competition numbers must be painted blue-gray or other light color".
